DoCrafts have been selling their letterpress for half price, and I spent my eBay earnings on it. I love the effect it gives. It needs a bit of practice - my first attempts were dreadful. These are the cards I've made with it.
Oh am I being thick or what, now that you've given me the link I've seen it being demonstrated on Create and Craft. D'oh!! I get it now. They used gold ink. It does look amazing - I tried a similar technique with my bug but I think it would have been better if I'd used an ink roller. Thanks for answering my question. Jaqui x

You use it with a die cutting machine and use really thick paper with it. It leaves an inked de-bossed impression.
